Triumph Motorcycles has opened its first dealership in Jaipur, Morani Triumph. Located on Tonk Road, this is the 12th dealership for Triumph Motorcycles in India, following its presence in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata and Indore.

Triumph Motorcycles has opened its first dealership in Jaipur, Morani Triumph. Located on Tonk Road, this is the 12th dealership for Triumph Motorcycles in India, following its presence in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata and Indore.
The British manufacturer had opened its first dealership in the country in January 2014 and currently offers 15 motorcycle models under five categories for the Indian market. The portfolio includes the classic Bonneville and Bonneville T100, the Speed Triple, the largest production motorcycle - the Rocket III Roadster, the Street Triple, the Thruxton café racer; the Tiger XR, Tiger XRx, Tiger XCx, Tiger XCA and Tiger Explorer XC; the stripped back and black Storm, the all-new Thunderbird LT and the Daytona 675 and 675R super sportsbikes.
Speaking at the dealership opening, Vimal Sumbly, managing director, Triumph Motorcycles India, said, “We are in a comprehensive expansion mode in India wherein we want to make our luxury motorcycles accessible to motorcycle enthusiasts across the length and breadth of the country. The heritage city of Jaipur is a huge market in this segment and plays a crucial role in our growth strategy.”
The Jaipur dealership is a 2,200 square foot modern showroom with an additional 3,600 square feet of front open space including parking. The dealership is integrated with a 1,500 square feet aftersales service facility featuring service bays and spare parts inventory. The showroom design is based on the global signature Triumph Motorcycles layout with a consultation lounge, sales and aftersales desks all being close to the display area. The dealership also has ‘Build your own Bike’, a novel concept in the premium and luxury motorcycle segment, along with Triumph merchandise like riding gear, accessories and memorabilia. Interestingly, the dealership will have a retro bikers café with seating capacity of over 100 people.
Triumph Motorcycles India says the staff at Morani Triumph has been provided with intense training in management of sales, service, spare parts and business systems and customer service. A team of service engineers have also been trained by Triumph's training centres.
The company, which sold a total of 1,326 motorcycles in the domestic market in 2014,15, has in the first five months of this fiscal (April-August 2015) sold 489 units.
