Tata Motors wholesales 100,572 units in January 2019, down 12%
Including JLR, Tata Motors’ overall sales has seen a setback in January 2019.
Tata Motors Group global wholesales in January 2019, including Jaguar Land Rover, were at 100,572 units, lower by 12 percent, as compared to January 2018. Global wholesales of all Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range in January 2019 were at 40,886 units, lower by 9 percent over January 2018.
Tata Motors has reported that the global wholesales of all passenger vehicles in January 2019 were at 59,686 units, lower by 15 percent, compared to January 2018.
For its luxury vehicle business, the global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover was 41,676 vehicles (JLR number for January 2019 includes CJLR volumes of 2,712 units), which includes Jaguar at 12,904 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the month were 28,772 vehicles. CJLR is a JV between JLR and Chery Automobiles and is an unconsolidated subsidiary for JLR.
