Tata Motors has registered a growth of 38 percent by registering 16,314 units more than its sales figures in February 2017 in the CV and PV category for the domestic market.
Tata Motor's domestic sales in February 2018 stood at 41,222 units, which is 10,815 units more than their figures in February 2017. With the month on month growing trend in the CV segment, their sales performance in the domestic market resulted in a growth of 21percent at 350,144 units in the cumulative year (April 2017- February 2018), over last year.
In the M&HCV truck segment, the sales increased to 15,241units from 12,192 units in 2017, a growth of 3,048 units. Similarly, the I&LCV truck segment registered 4,810 units in February 2018, which was 1,686 units more from its February 2017 report.
In the SCV Cargo and Pickup segment, Tata Motors registered 5,338 units more than its previous year posting. This year they sold 16,014 units.
The commercial passenger carrier segment sold 5,157 units, which was 711 units more than its previous year sales figures.
In the domestic passenger vehicle segment, Tata Motors sold 17,771 units as against 12,272 units in the previous year. The sales were largely driven by the sales performance of Tiago and Tigor along with Nexon and Hexa. Cumulative sales growth of Passenger Vehicles in the domestic market (April 2017-Feb 2018) was at 167,055 units as compared to 137,718 units, a growth of 21percent over last year.
Tata Motors registered 4,768 units through its sales in exports, which was 147 units lesser than in the previous year.
