The Tata Motors Group, which includes Jaguar Land Rover, sold a total of 87,414 vehicles in May 2016, 10 percent more year-on-year (YoY). Cumulative wholesales included 168,711 units, up 8% YoY.
Global wholesales of Tata Motors’ CV and the Tata Daewoo range in May 2016 were 32,375 units, up 11 percent YoY. Cumulative commercial vehicles wholesales for April-May 2016 were higher by 11 percent over April-May 2015 at 61,923 units.
Further, the Group sold a total of 55,039 passenger vehicles in May 2016, up 10% YoY, while the cumulative PV wholesales for the first two months of the current fiscal stood at 106,788 units, higher by 6 percent over April-May 2015.
Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover were 46,204 vehicles last month – 12,442 Jaguars and 33,762 Land Rovers. Cumulative sales for April-May 2016 were 87,137 vehicles – 21,630 Jags and 65,507 LRs. JLR posted its fifth consecutive record-breaking sales month along with the best ever sales in May, driven by the success of Jaguar F-Pace.
