Bolivia becomes third South American market for Tata Motors after Chile and Equador
Tata Motors has entered the Bolivian commercial vehicle market through a distribution agreement with local partners, Bolivian Auto Motors.
The local company is part of the Salvatierra business group which is engaged in the distribution of motor vehicles and motorcycles in Bolivia. Three Tata commercial vehicles –the 1.4-litre Super Ace Petrol small CV, Tata Xenon Petrol pickup and the LPT 613 truck – have been launched in Bolivia, which becomes the third South American market for the Indian CV maker after Chile and Ecuador.
Commenting on the foray into Bolivia, Rudrarup Maitra, head (International Business), Commercial Vehicles, Tata Motors, said, “Bolivia is one of the fastest growing markets in the Latin American region. Tata Motors has introduced class-leading products, suitable for varied terrains, with each built for better load carrying capability, more trips, with the lowest turnaround time."
