Tata Motors today launched the new Hexa XM+ variant of its lifestyle SUV. Priced at Rs 15.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) the Hexa XM+ is squarely targeted at the Mahindra XUV500 W9 variant that costs Rs 15.47 lakh and comes with a similar set of features.
The Hexa XM+ is powered by the same 2.2-litre diesel engine, which is good for 156hp. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. This variant does not have an automatic transmission on offer.
The company has announced that the new Hexa XM+ will come with new safety features including front fog lamps, reverse parking sensor with camera, cruise control, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers and electrically adjustable and foldable outside mirrors.
According to S N Barman, vice-president, sales, marketing & customer support, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors, “With Turnaround 2.0 in play, we have continued to deepen our focus towards catering to the evolving customer demands by introducing new products and variants at regular intervals. With the launch of the Hexa XM+, we are further strengthening this product range by offering more to our customers. We are confident that the XM+ will take brand Hexa a step ahead towards delighting our customers”.
The Hexa XM+ will retain the Hexa’s all-black interiors, sculpted seats as well as the 8-colour, ambient mood lighting. There is also an option to customise the Hexa with an electric sunroof.
