Tata Motors launches 5W30 synthetic engine oil for CVs
CV major claims the new 5W30 synthetic engine oil promises lower TCO, improved fuel economy and reduced carbon impact on BS6 diesel engines.
Tata Motors has introduced the 5W30 synthetic engine oil, which the company claims has been created specifically to improve the performance of the latest-generation BS6 diesel engines.
The 5W30 synthetic engine oil increases the dependability, durability, and pollution compliance of the vehicle by prolonging engine life and reducing friction between machine components, the company said in a press note. This enhances vehicle performance ultimately results in more profits for the transporters, the company added.
The new 5W30 synthetic engine oil, the auto major stated, has been carefully tested for more than three years under a variety of challenging situations. It has logged more than 35,000 hours at the powertrain testing facilities and more than 10 lakh kilometres of driving in challenging terrains.
Rajendra Petkar, President and CTO, Tata Motors said, “An effective and efficient engine oil is one of the most convenient and cost-effective ways of reducing a vehicle’s carbon emissions".
The company's Engineering Research Centre (ERC) team has been internally co-engineering and refining lubricant compositions while closely collaborating with important additive manufacturing partners, he added.
