Tata Motors aims to carve out new market share for itself with the Intra compact truck in India's competitive small CV market.
Tata Intra has large loading deck (8.2 feet long x 5.3 feet wide), which is designed to enable the operator to transport greater volumes.
The Intra, powered by new-gen DI engine which develops 70hp and 140 Nm, is mated to a five-speed gearbox with cable shift mechanism. It also has a gear shift advisor to achieve optimum fuel efficiency
Tata Intra, shod with 14-inch radial tyres, claimed to have superior load-carrying capability for varied terrain. Front and rear rigid axle equipped with leaf springs (6 in front and 7 at the rear).
The Tata Intra has a top speed of 80kph. Ergonomic cabin and easy manoeuvrability aim to make driving a pleasurable experience.
Tata Intra applications include transportation of perishable goods, industrial goods, hardware items and LPG cylinders.
