TAL Manufacturing Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Motors, recently showcased the compact Brabo 2kg payload range of indigenous industrial articulated robots at Imtex 2017 in Bangalore.

With Brabo, TAL is expanding its robot line-up to cater to OEMs, medium and small enterprises. The new small robot offers all the functionality and expertise of the Brabo range in a much smaller package, helping simplify industrial manufacturing with improved quality and productivity. Its size, combined with its lightweight design, makes the Brabo 2kg a reliable choice for generating high production outputs for a minimal investment.

According to the company, Brabo is targeted not only at OEMs but also Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers who can automate their facilities by deploying robots, which will complement the human workforce by taking over dull, dangerous, repetitive and often dirty jobs.

Amit Bhingurde, chief operations officer, TAL Manufacturing & Solutions, said: “Our aim is to deliver the best-engineered solutions. Our vast experience in providing manufacturing solutions and mechatronics enables us to offer ingenious engineering solutions. We are also expanding our product portfolio which will help more manufacturers realise the benefits available from robotic technology.”

On the export front, TAL ships the Brabo to some Middle East countries, and will now be predominantly aiming for sales in SAARC countries. Current production capacity is around 3,000 units. TAL has in place a live demonstration centre for its customers at its Demo Facility in Pune where robots perform multiple applications like sorting with vision system, press tending, gluing sealing, machine tending, pick and place, welding and various other applications.
