Sujan CooperStandard (SCS), the joint venture between the Sujan Group and CooperStandard, USA, has diversified into commercial vehicles with its nomination by India’s Top two CV manufacturers.

The joint venture will supply engine mounts and chassis parts to both customers for BS VI-compatible vehicles. While the company has not specified the two CV OEMs, it can be surmised that they are Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland.

“Through design optimisation, we were able to achieve cost competitiveness and have met our clients’ expectations,” says Rajesh Sharma, AVP, Commercial Vehicles Business, SCS.

“We are supplying our anti-vibration systems (AVS) from our state-of-the-art facilities at Pune and Chennai where we have achieved world-class operational excellences,” says Dinesh Pawar, chief operating officer, SCS.

“Our nomination by India’s top two CV manufacturers is a matter of pride for us, and is in line with our strategic growth plan for 2018-2022. Our customer-centric approach has enabled us to obtain these prestigious business,” says Vijay Sujan, Chief Executive Officer, SCS.

SCS’ existing customer base includes Maruti Suzuki India, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ford India, Renault-Nissan and several Tier 1 players. The company's products are used in SUVs, LCVs and passenger vehicles.

The Sujan Group has another JV in India with CooperStandard – Polyrub CooperStandard (PCS) – for Fluid Transfer Systems. PCS’ customer base includes BMW, Lander UK, Fiat Chrysler Automotive, Tata Motors, Force Motors, and Mobius Motors, an Africa-based SUV manufacturer.
