Delhi-based air-conditioning kits supplier Subros Ltd, whose Manesar plant suffered damages caused by a fire on May 28, is limping back to normalcy.
Autocar Professional spoke to Ramesh Suri, chairman of Subros, who said: “We are on the fast track. These things take a little time to get back to normal. We are shifting out all the production items from Manesar to the two Noida plants and in a day or two manufacturing should restart at Noida. We have already shifted the dies and other things will follow.”
Subros is a major supplier to the country’s leading carmaker Maruti Suzuki India which temporarily suspended production at both its plants in Manesar and Gurgaon as a result of the fire at the vendor’s Manesar facility.
Subros is a joint venture between Suzuki Corp, Denso Corp and the Suri family. The carmaker confirmed that production at its two plants continues to be suspended, awaiting start of work at Subros.
