Skoda opens first 3S dealership in North East India

Czech carmaker, which plans to double its retail network and expand to 50 new cities by 2022, sets up showroom and service facility in Guwahati.

Skoda Auto India, which is fast expanding its dealer network across the country, ahead of the launch of the Kushaq midsized SUV on March 18, today inaugurated its first 3S facility (Sales, Service and Spare parts) in Guwahati, the capital city of the state of Assam. The new facility also marks the Czech carmaker’s entry into the North East region of the country.

Skoda Auto India, under the purview of the ‘India 2.0’ project, plans to double its network penetration, and expand to 50 new cities over the next three years.  In February itself, it has opened two new retail outlets – in Bangalore and two new service workshops in Mumbai.

The new dealership facility sports the new corporate identity and design as a part of Skoda’s global redesigning process. The Czech auto manufacturer, under the purview of the ‘INDIA 2.0’ project, will have at least twice as many sales and service touchpoints, as it does today, by 2022.

The new SSB Automobiles 3S facility is spread over 12,000 square feet and can display four cars; the workshop is spread across 6,000 square feet with a capacity to service 1,200 cars annually. The state-of-the-art facility is equipped with five bays, latest infrastructure and equipment as per Skoda standards.
