Setco Auto wins top supplier awards from Ashok Leyland
Setco, a strategic supplier to Ashok Leyland for many decades, has supplied over 200,000 clutches in the last 30 months.
Setco Automotive, the third largest clutch manufacturer for commercial vehicles in the world, has won two gold awards for the best performing supplier in the ‘Reliability’ and ‘Aftermarket’ categories from its customer, Ashok Leyland.
The awards recognise efforts across the over 500 suppliers in Chennai-based commercial vehicle manufacturer’s ecosystem. Dheeraj Hinduja, chairman, Ashok Leyland and his senior team presented the award at their annual supplier summit held recently in Chennai.
Speaking on the occasion, Harish Sheth, chairman and managing Director, Setco Automotive said, “It is an honour to receive such a prestigious award. The company, which is the largest manufacturer of premium quality ‘Lipe’ brand clutches for commercial vehicles and farm tractors in India, is a Tier 1 supplier of clutches to all the leading CV manufacturers in India.
