Renesas Electronics India to unveil its India-market centric solutions at Electronica India 2015

Renesas Electronics India, a subsidiary of Renesas Electronics Singapore, is to unveil its India-centric solutions developed at Renesas Electronics India’s India Solution Centre during Electronica India 2015, to be held from September 9-11, 2015 in New Delhi (Booth number: 7B10 Hall B, Pragati Maidan).

The company will showcase its state-of-the-art technologies across automotive, industrial and office automations (OA), home electronics (HE), HMI (human machine interface) and smart grid at the event. Renesas will also demonstrate its innovative solutions for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) incorporating the company's latest system-on-chip (SoC), the R-Car V2H, for the first time in India.

Commenting on the participation, Sunil Dhar, president, Renesas Electronics India, says, “Since its inception in 2014, the India Solution Centre has been collaborating with the industry towards developing advance semiconductor solutions for the Indian market. The centre has been instrumental in quick breakthrough innovations towards the journey of Renesas Solutions for a world of tomorrow. Electronica India, being South Asia’s leading trade show for electronic components, systems and applications, we think this is the ideal platform for us to showcase our cutting edge innovations. India is a key growth market for Renesas and we will invest substantially towards growing the market share”.

The Indian semiconductor industry offers high growth potential; according to a report by NOVONOUS, the industry is estimated to reach US$ 52.58 billion in 2020 at CAGR of 26.72 percent. Renesas aims to expand its presence in the Indian market rapidly across SMEs and enterprise segments with its ultra-low power microcontrollers to ARM Cortex-based advanced microprocessors, analog & power products and related solutions which has been adopted worldwide.

Considering the robust growth momentum and technology implementations in the Indian semiconductor industry, Renesas has been working on advanced solutions towards enabling the industry to develop future proof cutting edge products. The range of Renesas solutions to be showcased at Electronica India will cater to designs in a wide range of industries such as automotive, home electronics, information and communication technology, office automation, industrial, medical, security and other solutions.

With the growing trend of connected cars and IoT, Renesas says the automotive sector is becoming a strategic growth market for the company. Its R-Car V2H SoC device contributes to realization of smarter and safer automobiles by integrating Renesas’ ground-breaking image recognition technology and essential functionalities required for ADAS on a single chip.

The company will bring its global technology leadership to demonstrate at the trade fair including Automotive Body Control and Dashboard applications, Motor Control, Industrial Ethernet, Detector and Sensor, Powerline Communication (PLC), Smart Metering and next generation Human-Machine-Interface (HMI).
