Renault launches upgraded Fluence diesel saloon

April 3: Renault has launched the Fluence saloon with an updated diesel engine. This new version is called the Fluence E4 D is priced at Rs 15.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The upgraded Fluence comes with a new engine, called the 1.5 Energy dCi 110. It features an upgraded turbo that helps increase power to 108bhp. The car claims a fuel efficiency of 20.4 kmpl.
The Fluence E4 D comes with features like cruise control, rain sensing wipers, chrome-lined trunk-lid and window sills, auto headlamps, rear parking sensors and electrically adjustable and foldable rear-view mirrors. Interiors get leather upholstery, rear sun-blinds, USB and Bluetooth equipped audio system, dual-zone climate control and rear AC ducts.
Speaking at the launch in New Delhi, Marc Nassif, managing director, Renault India, said: “The new upgraded Fluence is a result of the feedback we have received from our customers. It is powered by the new generation of Renault’s most successful 1.5 dCi (K9K) engine which will give the best combination of power and fuel efficiency in its class.”

Renaults India’s next launch will be the Duster SUV, which is expected to hit the roads in June. It will be followed by a midsize sedan. With the launch of the sedan, Renault will complete its commitment of launching five models by end of 2012.
