Quantum Energy enters EV market with four scooters

The Hyderabad-based Quantum Energy is the latest company to make an entry into the fast-growing electric vehicle industry in India. The company today revealed its upcoming EV high-speed scooters and signed an MoU with MBI Korea for its advanced technology.

Quantum Energy is backed by the Kusalava Group, which has been in the automotive industry for the past 50 years. It has its R&D centre in Bengaluru and the manufacturing facility at Pashamylaram in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Quantum Energy has named its quartet of EVs the Plasma, Elektron, Milan and Bziness, whose pricing will be designed for different segments. The Plasma, powered by a 1500W motor, has a top speed of 60kkph and is claimed to do 110-130km on a single full charge. While the Elektron and Milan come with a 1000W motor, the Bziness has a 1200W motor which gives it a top speed of 50kph and a 80-100km range

Chakravarthi Chukkapalli, Director, Quantum Energy said: “Quantum Energy scooters have been developed with technology to deliver the best range without compromising on the performance. The focus has been on building high-quality products at affordable prices in the Indian market.”

He added, “The batteries are powered by a smart BMS with multilevel safety protections to make sure they are extremely safe. The products have good gradeability for dual riders and riding uphill. Quantum has registered multiple design and utility patents. The scooters have been rigorously tested and validated for Indian road conditions.” 

The four Quantum Energy scooters are slated to go on sale across India from October 2022.
