Pricol inaugurates Centre of excellence
The Centre aims to further collaboration between industry and academia.
Pricol, one of India's leading automotive technology companies, announced the inauguration of a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in association with PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore.
The PSG - Pricol Centre of Excellence was inaugurated jointly by Vikram Mohan, Managing Director, Pricol and L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG Institutions in the presence of the company’s top management, members of the Governing Council, faculty and students of PSG College of Technology.
Mohan said, “This Centre of Excellence is a small effort from our end towards bringing industry and academia together. Pricol has identified and is implementing several new technology solutions and innovative processes to meet the requirements of automotive OEMs both in India and overseas. This CoE inside the PSG College of Technology campus will help students to proactively be part of real-world challenges and also add value to our product and process.”
Pricol has identified several new technology products and innovative processes to meet the requirements of automotive OEMs in India and overseas. The CoE, the company said, has been conceptualised to develop high efficiency micro motors and Robotics and artificial Intelligence based processes and equipment. With Pricol’s strong foot print in product domain and customer connect and PSG Institutions’ expertise in first principle fundamentals, the Centre of Excellence will certainly benefit the community at large to come out with world class new technology products and processes, the company said.
