Pricol, a leading manufacturer of automotive components and solutions provider for the global automotive market, today announced an exclusive partnership with Dongguan Shenpeng Electronics Co for introducing electric water pumps in the Indian market.
The cooling solutions portfolio will include secondary cooling systems for reducing the engine load and optimising fuel efficiency, EGR and turbocharger cooling solutions for BS-VI applications. For electric vehicles, the product range will cater multiple cooling solutions for battery, e-motor, electronic controller, and air circulation applications.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Mohan, managing director, Pricol said “With this exclusive partnership, we believe that we will future-proof our company towards developing cooling solutions for electric vehicle mobility. This partnership will help us strengthen our pumps and allied products portfolio by developing engine cooling solutions for impending BS-VI norms in 2020, with the product range covering all market segments in India.”

Dongguan Shenpeng Electronics Co is a major automotive OEM supplier for electric coolant pumps. Shenpeng supplies to major automotive OEMs like Renault Nissan, Geely, Chery, BYD, Dongfeng Motors, China FAW, Zotye and BAIC in China. Shenpeng has a rich experience in R&D and manufacturing of brushless DC water pump (BLDC pump) used for automotive applications and has developed entire series of electric water pumps to cater to two-wheeers, four-wheelers, CVs and EVs, mainly used for turbocharge cooling, secondary cooling system, air-conditioning circulation, electric motor and battery cooling, EV controller cooling and automotive peripheral accessories.
