Piaggio to begin rolling out Aprilia SXR 160 from Baramati plant soon
Piaggio says the Aprilia SXR 160 is designed in Italy for India and will create a new benchmark in the category with its unique next-generation appeal and technologically advanced features.
Italian- two- and three-wheeler maker, Piaggio India is to soon commence production of the Aprilia SXR 160 scooter at its plant in Baramati, Maharashtra.
The premium Aprilia SXR 160 scooter was first unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020, Greater Noida. The company says the scooter's highlights include style, performance and comfort, coupled with ergonomics. Piaggio says the Aprilia SXR 160 has been designed in Italy for India and will create a new benchmark in the category with its next-generation appeal and technologically advanced features.
The Aprilia SXR 160 is powered by a 160cc BS VI, three-valve fuel injected engine claimed to develop high power and torque.
In terms of aesthetics the scooter comes with a 3-coat HD body paint finish, featuring Aprilia signature graphics, paired with matt black design trims, along with dark chrome elements. The scooter also has wraparound LED twin crystal headlights .
The scooter is equipped with a large 210 cm sq. multifunctional all-digital cluster that hosts multiple features. Customers can opt for the mobile connectivity accessory which connects the user’s mobile to the scooter and helps locating it, raising security alarm when needed, and if necessary, even immobilising it.
The SXR 160 comes with an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) along with ventilated disc brakes and twin pots calliper hydraulic brakes, which deliver high braking performance.
