Paytm Mall launches breakdown assistance in partnership with TVS Auto-Assist
The breakdown assistance service will provide customers with emergency assistance support that include, mechanical related, towing, fuel, key, flat tyre, cab assistance, first-aid among others.
Paytm Mall, the online marketplace of Paytm's mobile payments and commerce platform, has partnered with TVS Auto Assist (TVS AA), for offering 24x7 breakdown assistance service to automobile owners across India.
Vehicle (two- and four-wheelers) owners can purchase breakdown assistance services on Paytm Mall for receiving breakdown assistance from any of the TVS AA’s 5,000 authorised service providers, spanned across over 28 states and 1,795 cities.
Those who wish to avail of the breakdown assistance services will need to visit the Paytm Mall app/website and select the roadside rescue service within the cars and bikes category. Additionally, apart from the emergency support, Paytm Mall users will also be able to buy a special product designed for women – the service will cater to women passengers who travel during late hours (8pm – 5am). The company claims this is a first-of-its-kind initiative in India by a breakdown assistance service provider, and this is an exclusive facility for Paytm Mall woman customers and is being provided as part of its inaugural offer.
Initially, this service will be offered in six major cities in India (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore). Speaking on the initiative, Amit Sinha, COO, Paytm Mall said, “The automobile segment on our platform is gaining massive traction. We are currently focused on building this further and diversifying into newer offerings. TVS AA will be a key partner in driving this agenda and in helping us become a one-stop shop for all automotive needs. We expect to sell over 30,000 road assistance service packages in this quarter.”

This unique tie-up would digitally connect millions of car and bike users across the country by providing world class breakdown assistance within one hour across all major towns and cities. In a first-of-its-kind move, we are extending our services to even non-members of TVS AA through ‘pay-per-use’ model.”
The breakdown assistance services is being offered through the annual membership program under two categories – gold membership for Rs 1,499, and platinum membership at Rs 2,999. TVS AA members can avail of the emergency assistance support that include mechanical related, towing, fuel, key, flat tyre, cab assistance, first-aid among others.
The gold membership services include all-India breakdown assistance six times per car per year, car towing services and cab assistance at a nominal cost. The platinum membership services offers unlimited all-India emergency roadside breakdown assistance per car per year, cab assistance and car towing assistance free up to a specified range.
