Omega Seiki to launch electric SCV with 250km range this month
OSM claims new electric cargo four-wheeler does 250km on a single charge and has a 2-tonne payload.
Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), the electric vehicle manufacturing company of the Anglian Omega Group, is all set to launch its first electric four-wheeler, a small commercial vehicle (SCV) in September.
In an exclusive conversation with Autocar Professional, Uday Narang, founder, Omega Seiki Mobility said, “We already have different variants of three- wheelers in the market. We are just going to launch, very shortly, a passenger three-wheeler. We are also launching L3 category passenger vehicles. We will have a major showcase for our first-of-a-kind electric four-wheeler SCV which can do 250km on a single charge and carry load up to 2 tonnes.”
The company is also looking at setting up charging infrastructure to support the drive towards electrification. According to Narang, “We are also involved in building the ecosystem and we will be building OSM grid where we will set up charging infrastructure with our vehicles. We will allow everybody to use those charging stations.”
While not much has been revealed about the new product, it is expected that the company will showcase the product in Delhi, along with aggressive pricing. Stay tuned for more updates.
