Electric two-wheeler maker Okinawa has launched a new product for B2B customers. Named Okinawa Dual, it priced at Rs 58,998 and designed for the delivery sector. The Okinawa Dual can be customised to meet the varied needs of delivery companies.
The company claims that the Okinawa Dual has the largest loading capacity on a two-wheeler; it has dual loading capacity in front and at the rear. While no details have been provided as to how much weight the e-scooter can transport safely, Okinawa says it can carry “gas cylinders, heavy hardware equipment and water cans as well as groceries among a host of item. The OEM says it will offer additional customised accessories such as delivery box, stackable crates, cold storage boxes for medicines, cylinder carrier, and lab on wheels.
The e-scooter is powered by a 250 Watt electric motor, has a top speed of 25kph, kerb weight of 75kg, a disc brake in front and a drum brake at the rear. The 48W 55Ah detachable battery that can be charged 80 percent in 90 minutes and fully in about 4-5 hours. Claimed travel range is 130km range on a single charge.
Other highlights include such as remote-on function, side footrest, hard mat design, phone holder, charging port and water bottle carrier.

The company says customers can also buy the Okinawa Dual for personal use, wherein the e-scooter will be offered with an additional push-type pillion, a lower-spec 48V 28Ah battery that can be charged 80 percent in 45 minutes and entirely in about 2-3 hours offering a range of 60km on a single charge.
Okinawa says it has achieved 92 percent localisation in its products and is targeting 100 percent localisation by April 2021.
