Nissan India has launched a new digital car booking and buying service to reach out to customers in a time of social distancing. The Japanese carmaker has introduced an online booking and showroom experience for the new Kicks 2020 crossover. It has also made its entire Datsun portfolio available for online bookings and purchase.
On May 18, Nissan Motor India had launched the Model Year 2020 Kicks. The BS VI avatar of the midsized crossover which has now seen a change of heart by letting go of its erstwhile diesel motor for a petrol-only choice of powertrain options. The company has introduced the BS VI Nissan Kicks with prices ranging between Rs 949,990 for the entry-level 1.5-litre petrol engine to Rs 1,414,990, (ex-showroom country wide), for top-of-the-line 1.3-litre turbo-petrol CVT.
Commenting on the new initiative, Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India said, “We are strengthening our commitment in line with our customer centric approach by bringing the showroom experience to customers’ location through a virtual showroom with a digitally enabled car purchase journey. It allows our customers to experience and own our products with complete confidence, convenience and with zero physical contact.”
The Nissan Virtual Showroom is an interactive online experience for all customers, enabling them to understand the Kicks’ class-leading features in an engaging and innovative way.
According to the carmaker, this is "an experience that is identical to an actual dealership visit, the interactive showroom can be easily accessed through computer and smartphone browsers, without downloading any special application. The Nissan Virtual Showroom will allow customers to ‘Book and Own’ a Nissan car at their leisure. Customers will also be able to book Datsun cars across the portfolio. All digital payment options are accepted."
On the Nissan and Datsun websites, customers can navigate to the bookings section and submit a request to select the car of their choice, choose finance options via Nissan finance and then make payments through a secure payment gateway.
