The fast-increasing requirements of electronics content in vehicle development, supported by incoming mandatory regulations such as BS VI emission norms, the implementation of real-time driving cycles (RDE), safety (ABS and CBS) norms and, the biggest of them all, electrification of vehicles, is not just good news for a company operating in this domain.

These technology trends, including the push for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), in-car and vehicle-to-vehicle connectivity among others, along with the scale of the India market, are all set to open up plum opportunities for companies like the Gurgaon-based Napino Auto & Electronics. Which is why the company is putting on a strong show at Auto Expo Components 2020 at Pragati Maidan.

The theme for the company’s display this year is ‘Safe, Convenient and Connected Vehicle’ and its range of exhibits is aligned with this. The 150-square-metre stall at Hall No. 11, Stall No. 43 will display a regulator rectifier, capacitor discharge ignitor, electronics control unit (both four- and two-wheelers) clusters, telematics unit, mechatronics switches, handlebar switch assembly, modular switches, solid state automotive lighting, PCB modules of LED, ISG with controller, advance transmission system.

As regards catering to  electric mobility, the company will be showcasing DC converter, battery charger, motor controller, BMS, hub wheel motor, battery pack, E-throttle and mid-drive motor. In the IoT and connected devices segment, it will display a smart tracker and surveillance cameras. The company will also exhibit main wire harness and sunroof harness.

The company plans to use the Auto Expo platform to establish Napino as a leading brand in the upcoming EV market and other diversified markets in electrical, electronics and mechatronics space. It believes the growth of EVs will result in significant changes in the Indian automotive industry.

Napino Auto expects substantial disruption in the supplier and sub-supplier ecosystem. This technology change will take away major jobs in the repair /service industry. According to the company, exponential growth of the EV industry is the need of the hour to offset adverse job loss impact in the IC engine industry.

Having participated for more than five times at the Auto Expo Components Show, Napino believes such events enhance brand recall of the company and even lead to strategic technological alliances.
