Mutual Industries sets up JV with Styl’monde of France for vacuum formed auto parts

The Mumbai-based Mutual Industries, a leading solutions provider for engineered plastic systems, components and related services, has inked a joint venture with Styl’monde of France, which specialises in moulding heavy gauge vaccum formed parts. 

The Mutual-Styl'monde joint venture in India, in the thermoforming process segment, has its value in the advanced process capabilities with benefits for medium-range volume parts which demand high aesthetics and short market life or frequent changes in product features. The company says the use of high-performance materials such as composites, high heat polymers in thermoforming succeeds only with such process experience to bring out the best of applications.

The joint venture’s manufacturing infrastructure in Silvassa, near Vapi in Gujarat, is a state-of-the-art facility built in line with the Styl’monde manufacturing capability in France, with ample provision to add new equipment. The part size capability is the largest in India, CNC controlled and robotised to match varying part requirements.

The joint venture company will cater to products for various sectors such as mass transportation, electric cars, coaches, seating, roofs, agricultural equipment and logistics, among others.
