Munjal Auto Industries' FY2017 revenue down 3.9%

Munjal Auto Industries Ltd (MAIL), producer of auto component in India announced its revenue of Rs 922 crore for F17 a decrease of -3.9 percent from Rs 959 crore in the FY16.

Munjal Auto Industries' FY2017 revenue down 3.9%

The component supplier has reported  revenues of Rs 922 crore in 2016-17, a year-on-year decline of 3.9 percent from Rs 959 crore in FY2016.

Q4 FY2017 revenue was  Rs 234 crore, down 15 percent compared to Rs 249 crore in Q4 FY2016. With net PAT reported at Rs 317 crore un FY2017, an increase from Rs 200 crore in FY16 being factored due to curtailment on expenses as reported in the company’s balance sheet.

Munjal Auto Industries, which is part of the Hero Group of companies, manufactures auto components for the two- and four-wheeler automobile segments.

The company, which has three plants un IndiuA (Gujarat, Haryana and Uttarakhand), has a technical collaboration with Samsung Industries for manufacture of fuel tanks for four-wheelers. It also manufactures exhaust systems and steel rims for two- and four-wheelers, seat frames for four-wheelers and other automotive assemblies.

MAIL’s return on capital employed stood at 0.13 percent for FY2017.
