Michelin launches Pilot Power 3 and Pilot Road 4 superbike tyres in India

France-based tyre manufacturer, Michelin today launched two internationally acclaimed premium ranges of radial motorcycle tyres in India, the Michelin Pilot Road 4 and Michelin Pilot Power 3.

The Pilot Road 4 and Pilot Power 3 ranges are designed for high-performance superbikes with engine capacity of 600cc and above. These two new tyre ranges will cater to a host of motorcycle models that are used for both road and track from brands such as Kawasaki, Ducati, Aprilia, Benelli, Yamaha, Hyosung and Honda.

Commenting on the launch Pradeep G Thampy, commercial director, two wheels, Michelin Asia, Africa and Middle East said “Michelin is delighted to bring Pilot Road 4 and Pilot Power 3 to the discerning Indian consumer. Industry analysts predict the Indian superbike market of 500cc and above, which has been growing 40-50%, year on year, to more than double in the next five years. This makes it an exciting time for the performance motorcycle market in India.”

With a design to deliver maximum safety in all conditions along with durability, Michelin claims that the two product ranges will push boundaries of braking and performance. The 100% silica compounds for optimum balance between grip and longevity equip the Pilot Road 4 series for optimal use on wet pavements and slippery surfaces. Meanwhile the Pilot Power 3 series, developed with a combination of 2CT and 2CT+ technology, offers more stability when cornering, especially under strong acceleration.

Michelin’s Pilot Road 4 and Pilot Power 3 range of tyres are now available nationally at company's premium dealerships - Michelin Priority Partners, Tyreplus network and Michelin retailers.
