MG Motor India records 28.5 percent growth in November

MG Motor India has recorded an uptickof 28.5 percent in November with total sales tallying at 4,163 units in November (November 2019: 3,239). This was primarily on back of continued demand for its Hector SUV which went on to record its second-highest monthly sales since launch – at 3,426 units – and contributing to over 82 percent of MG’s overall sales in November.

The remaining volumes included 110 units of the MG ZS EV crossover and 627 units of the flagship MG Gloster, which was launched on October 8 and has garnered over 2,500 bookings so far, as claimed by the company.
According to Rakesh Sidana, director, Sales, MG Motor India, “Buoyed by continued festive demand and the sustained demand for the Hector and ZS EV alongside the successful launch of the MG Gloster, we have recorded 28.5 percent growth in November 2020 compared to last year. We expect the momentum to continue in December and expect to close this year on a strong note.”

With MG expanding sales of the all-electric ZS EV crossover to 25 cities in India, as well as also claiming the Hector to have registered as much as 4,000 fresh bookings last month, MG Motor India is confident about sustaining its volumes in the coming months even though the overall market demand seems to be tapering off after the festive season.
