With the new assembly line, the Pune plant has an installed capacity of 20,000 units annually.
Pune plant now makes 6 different model series: sedans (S-, E-, C-Class), SUVs (GL, M-Class) and now the compact GLA.

To prepare for GLA production, synchronised conveyor systems, new assembly lines, and a new roller tester were installed.

On June 11, the chief minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the new production facility and also drove out the first-ever made-in-Chakan GLA.
