Maxxis Tyres India is aggressively making gains in India's scooter market. The company today announced its fourth OE partnership, having received the mandate from Suzuki Motorcycle India for its popular scooter, the Access 125.
The BS VI-compliant Access 125 scooter will now come fitted with Maxxis tyres - front: 90/90-12 54J M6302 and rear: 90/100-10 53J M6303. Maxxis, which says these tyres offer stability, better ride handling and better mileage, says it started production of these tyres in January 2020.
According to Bing-Lin Wu, marketing head, Maxxis India, “At Maxxis, our endeavour is to maximise the comfort of the rider. The newly launched Suzuki Access 125 BS VI will give customers riding pleasure with Maxxis tyres. The Suzuki Access is the best selling model in the 125cc scooter segment in India. We are extremely elated about this partnership and confident that together we will be able to forge a new market and penetrate deeper with Suzuki’s portfolio with times to come.”
In addition to this new partnership, maxxis also supplies to leading scooter manufacturers in the country including Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, Hero MotoCorp and India Yamaha Motor.
The company began its India journey in 2015, and is targeting to capture a market share of at least 15 percent of the two-wheeler tyre market by 2023.
