Maruti Suzuki India, which sold 147,912 units (September 2019: 110,454) in September to record an uptick of 34 percent ahead of the festive season last month, today announced roll out of its Limited-Edition Swift hatchback.
The Maruti Suzuki Swift Limited Edition has been introduced to attract those looking to buy a new car this festive season. Priced from Rs 544,000, it is essentially an accessories package that adds a number of cosmetic changes on the outside and inside the cabin. This pack is available across all four variants of the Swift – LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+.
The limited-edition model gets exterior accessories such as a gloss-black body kit including front, rear and side skirts, a rear spoiler, door visors as well as an all-black garnish for the grille upfront and the fog lamp and tail-lamps.
On the inside, the embellishments include a set of sporty seat covers. All this will be made available by customising any of the four trims that the car comes in and will be priced at an additional Rs 24,990.
The company says that the upgrades in the Limited-Edition Swift will make it even more eye-catchy. According to Shashank Srivastava, executive director, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India, “The Swift has been a preferred choice amongst the youth for over a decade now for being a sporty, stylish and fun to drive car. Since launch, with its disruptive looks and peppy performance, Swift has been one of the best performers in our portfolio and helped us strengthen leadership in the premium hatchback segment."

The Swift hatchback is one of the largest-selling cars in India, having breached the two-million sales mark in November 2018, 13 years into its launch in the country in May 2005. By June 2020, the Swift went on to add another 200,000 units to its bag to clock 2.2 million units in 15 years. The car went home to 187,916 buyers in FY2020, and similarly clocked 223,924 units in FY2019 and 175,928 units in FY2018.
