Maruti Suzuki’s second skilling institute gets accreditation from METI, Japan

The second Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing by Maruti Suzuki, in Uncha Majra, Haryana, will train over 500 youth annually and is expected to begin operations in second quarter of FY2020.

Less than five months after Maruti Suzuki India inked an MoU with the government of Haryana to set up a Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing (JIM), a model ITI, at Uncha Majra village in Gurugram district, Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has issued a certificate of accreditation to the facility.
