Maruti Suzuki to resume production today

Maruti Suzuki India is to resume manufacture of vehicles at its Gurgaon facilities from the second half Wednesday (June 1).

Certain operations in the Manesar campus, including casting and manufacture of transmissions, will also resume in the second half on Wednesday.

As is now known, the carmaker had to suspend operations at its facilities on Monday, May 29 (second half) owing to a fire at the Manesar facilities of its supplier, Subros. Subros and Maruti are jointly working on options to obtain supply of components from other facilities and gradually bring operations back to normal.
