Maruti Suzuki launches S-Presso S-CNG at Rs 484,000
Available in LXi, LXi(O), VXi and VXi(O) variants, the S-Presso CNG costs about Rs 75,000 more than the standard model.
Five months after it showcased the CNG-powered S-Presso at Auto Expo 2020, Maruti Suzuki India today launched the eco-friendly hatchback. showcased the , and now, it is finally available for purchase. Priced from Rs 484,000 upwards, the S-Presso S-CNG is available in four variants – LXi, LXi(O), VXi and VXi(O).
With the addition of the factory-fit CNG kit, this S-Presso variant costs about Rs 75,000 more than the equivalent standard versions. However, equipment levels are identical. When powered by CNG, the S-Presso’s 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine puts out a lower 58hp and 78Nm, compared to the 67hp and 90Nm of torque when run on petrol. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard with the CNG S-Presso. In terms of mileage, the model is rated at 31.2km/kg.
Maruti Suzuki claims to have sold 1,06,443 factory-fitted CNG vehicles across India and witnessed a Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 15.5 percent in its CNG model sales in the past five years.
The carmaker recently introduced the Celerio S-CNG and the Ertiga S-CNG to its portfolio.
