Maruti Suzuki launches Alto BS VI S-CNG at Rs 432,700

Maruti Suzuki has launched two variants of the BS VI Alto with a new S-CNG kit factory-fitted.

Maruti Suzuki launches Alto BS VI S-CNG at Rs 432,700

Maruti Suzuki India today launched the S-CNG variant of the Alto BS VI with a claimed mileage of 31.59 km/kg. This is the company’s first BS VI-compliant CNG vehicle. The price of the LXi variant of the BS VI S-CNG variant has an ex-showroom price of Rs 432,700 and the LXi (O) variant comes with a price tag of Rs 436,300.

On the introduction of Alto BS VI S-CNG, Shashank Srivastava, executive director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India said, “At Maruti Suzuki, we continuously strive to offer products that are technologically advanced and environment-friendly. Maruti Suzuki claims that the new S-CNG vehicle range is aligned to and complements the Government of India’s vision of reducing oil import and enhancing the share of natural gas in the energy basket of the country from 6.2 percent now to 15 percent by 2030.

Maruti Suzuki S-CNG vehicles are equipped with dual interdependent ECUs (Electronic Control Units) and intelligent injection system. Vehicles are specially tuned and calibrated to deliver optimum performance and enhanced drivability across all kinds of terrains.

Maruti Suzuki Alto was the first vehicle to become BS VI compliant, and the company claims to have already sold over 100,000 BS VI compliant Alto in the country.  With timely upgrades, the brand Alto has stayed relevant and continues to be the best-selling car in the country for 15 consecutive years. Maruti Suzuki recently introduced the new Alto VXi+ with the Smart play Studio which is said to be tailor-made to offer a unique technology-driven experience to the customers.
