Mahindra XUV300 clocks 13,000 bookings in 28 days of launch

Homegrown SUV major, Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that its recently launched compact SUV, the XUV300 has clocked over 13,000 bookings.

In just 28 days the company has received the overwhelming response, with an average of 465 bookings a day, since Mahindra launched the XUV300 on February 14, 2019 in Mumbai. This, the company says, has enabled the XUV300 enter the top 3 in the compact SUV segment in its very first month. According to Mahindra, the present compact SUV segment accounts for 40 percent of the total SUV sales and hence is the fastest growing segment in the past five years.

Commenting on the milestone, Veejay Ram Nakra, chief of sales and marketing, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra: “We are extremely happy with the overwhelming response to the XUV300. In a highly competitive segment such as the compact SUV, we have received over 13,000 bookings and in the very first month itself, we have entered into the Top 3. This is in-line with our objective of achieving 15 to 20 percent share of this segment and reaffirms the fact that the XUV300 proposition has resonated well with the customers. What is also encouraging is that over 75 percent of our bookings are for the top end variants of the XUV300.”

The company claims that the hot-selling XUV300 has generated over 250,000 leads till date.
