Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has announced that its new Marazzo MPV has received over 10,000 bookings since its launch on September 3. Between August and end-September 2018, the company has sold a total of 4,591 units of the diesel-engined vehicle – 1,762 units in August and 2,829 units in September.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has announced that its new Marazzo MPV has received over 10,000 bookings since its launch on September 3. Between August and end-September 2018, the company has sold a total of 4,591 units of the diesel-engined vehicle – 1,762 units in August and 2,829 units in September.
The Marazzo is powered by a 123hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine coupled with a six-speed manual transmission. There's no automatic gearbox on offer. M&M is understood to be working on an AMT variant, which is expected to be launched only around 2020.
There are four variants on offer – M2, M4, M6, and M8 – each spaced quite far apart from each other in terms of price. All Marazzo variants get safety kit like ABS, EBD, dual airbags and four-wheel disc brakes, and features like central locking, power windows and even rear AC. The top-spec M8 gets the addition of 17-inch wheels, LED daytime running lamps, leather upholstery, cruise control, Android auto, and a reverse camera. You can opt for a seven or eight-seater model.
According to dealers, the M6 and the top-spec M8 variants are the most in demand and have a waiting period of two weeks to a month, depending on their availability.

The Marazzo has been co-designed by the Mahindra Design Studio and Italian design house, Pininfarina. It has been engineered in collaboration with Mahindra North American Technical Centre and the Mahindra Research Valley, Chennai.
