Mahindra Truck and Bus Division (MTBD) has expanded its all-India dealer network to 93 and is closing in on the 100 mark. Earlier today, the company inaugurated a new dealership in Mumbai – Randhawa Motors. The company states that in FY2018, it achieved a financial turnaround and volume growth, which is double that of market growth in the fiscal.
Vinod Sahay, CEO, Mahindra Truck and Bus and Construction Equipment Division, Mahindra & Mahindra said, “Mahindra Truck and Bus Division is well on its way to becoming a formidable force in the Indian CV market. We are already the No 3 player in certain segments and certain markets in the HCV category. Now our target is to be the overall No 3 with investments of nearly Rs 600 crore underway towards development of the new ICV range."
"MTBD is also set to become the full range commercial vehicle player in due course. We are confident that the addition of new dealership to our network coupled with the new Blazo HCV range with mileage, service and spares guarantees, will further enhance our position in the market by significantly improving our ability to serve the customers,” added Sahay.
Speaking on the Mumbai market, Sahay said: “Mumbai being the economic hub of the country, offers huge market potential for both heavy and light commercial vehicles. MTBD will go all out to cater to this market through very strong dealer partners.”
The CV maker states that the new dealership is fully geared to offer sales, spares and service for its complete range of products – LCV bus and cargo vehicles from 3.5- to 9-tonne GVW and HCVs from 25- to 49-tonne GVW, including rigid trucks, multi-axle trucks, tippers and tractor trailers.
With the new dealership MTBD has expands its service network to 93 3S dealerships, 149 authorised service centres, 2,900 roadside assistance service points, in addition to its spares network of over 1,600 retail outlets, with 32 strategically located MParts Plazas to further improve reach on important trucking routes across India.
