Mahindra Electric to double EV capacity to 60,000 units, plans battery plant

With demand gradually coming its way from fleet operators, personal buyers and the recent EESL tender, the company aims to hike manufacturing capacity. It is also looking to substantially increase localisation levels in its EVs.

Mahindra Electric, the electric vehicle arm of the Mahindra Group, has announced plans to expand its manufacturing capacity to 60,000 units per annum within a span of 18 months.
