Tractor OEMs to benefit from a bountiful monsoon, government support for the agri sector and improved cash flow in rural markets. The export market is looking good too.
Mahindra FES sold 35,844 tractors in June in the domestic market (12.43%) and 36,544 units overall (10.42% YoY). It launched the new 575 Sarpanch Plus in the 30-50hp category on June 22.
Sonalika Tractors reported sales of 13,691 units in June (55% YoY). Together with exports, total sales for the month were 15,200 units – its best monthly sales yet.

While Mahindra FES sold 35,844 units (12.43%), Sonalika Tractors sold 13,691 units (55%). What’s helping both OEMs is the bountiful monsoon, government support for the agri sector and improved cash flow in rural markets.

The monsoon has arrived across India and brings along good news for domestic tractor manufacturers, who look set to harvest a season of strong growth. If the June sales numbers from two leading manufacturers are any indication, then this sector is headed for a good performance this fiscal (FY2021).
