Magenta Power, a Mumbai-based power solutions company, introduced an integrated and automated network of charging stations along with its new mobile app under the ‘ChargeGrid’ brand. ChargeGrid is a series of charging stations which are interconnected via the internet. The mobile application brings EV users and charging stations onto a single platform. The company claims that it has set up India’s first fully networked relay of charging stations for EV charging.

The mobile app shows the availability of chargers along the route, shows the availability & status of chargers at an individual socket level and also detects chargers with 500 meters using eco fencing algorithms. It is an open platform and allows all the EV chargers across India to be part of the ChargeGrid network independent of ownership, location and type.

Maxson Lewis, CEO and MD of Magenta Power said, “EV owners are technology-oriented and it was a matter of time before we integrated the mobile device with the charging experience. The demand for engagement, monitoring and checking availability of charging stations are critical to ChargeGrid’s charging experience in this fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The integrated & fully automated relay of our charging infrastructure now allows us to ensure 100 percent availability allowing EVs to travel farther and faster.”

The company claims that the ChargeGrid app helps the user to search for the nearest charging stations, use the payment gateways for online payments, check the usability of the available charging stations and even provide 24x7 assistance.
