Yamaha Motor Co has announced that the YZF-R15 motorcycle, which is produced and sold by Yamaha Motor's India subsidiary, India Yamaha Motor, has been awarded the India Design Mark (I Mark) by The India Design Council.

This recognition marks the eighth year in a row – every year since the inaugural awards in 2012 – that a Yamaha Motor product has received the I Mark. In addition, this is the second award conferred on the YZF-R15, after its recognition in 2012.

Yamaha's design has bagged the I Mark award for its other products like the YZF-R15 (2012), Cygnus Ray (2013), Cygnus Ray Z (2014), Cygnus Alpha and FZ (2015), Yamaha Fascino and Saluto 125 (2016), Cygnus Ray ZR and YZF R3 (2017), FZ25 (2018) followed by the R15 winning it this year.
