Made-in-India Hyundai Creta drives past 500,000 sales milestone

The popular Hyundai Creta SUV has notched a new milestone – 500,000 unit sales across both domestic and export markets in less than four years since launch in June 2015. The SUV has been in the best-selling UV chart since launch.

Commenting on the landmark, Vikas Jain, national sales head, Hyundai Motor India said, “The Hyundai Creta is a convergence of design, performance, safety and technology. With record sales of over 500,000 units in less than four years, the Creta has yet again set a new benchmark in the industry and a shining example of Hyundai’s manufacturing excellence.”

In India, the Creta has gone home to 370,517 buyers in India till end-January 2019, with a majority of them preferring the diesel variant (256,517 units) over the petrol (114,000 units). The Hyundai Creta comes with technology features such as smart electric sunroof, cruise control, ventilated front row with 6-way power driver’s seat, LED tail-lamps, smart key band and wireless phone charger.
