With the need to be future-ready, the Kirloskar Group of companies led by Atul and Rahul Kirloskar has announced a new focus on getting into customer-centric segments. With this refresh, the company also acquired a new logo.

The five companies that have got the brand refresh include Kirloskar Oil Engines, Kirloskar Chillers, Kirloskar Pneumatic, Kirloskar Ferrous Industries and Kirloskar Industries.

Longstanding connect with automotive
While Kirloskar Oil Engines, the flagship company of the Kirloskar Group, caters to the manufacturing and infrastructure sector, Kirloskar Chillers has been a leading player in the HVAC&R space for over two decades and a supplier to the Indian automotive industry.

Kirloskar Pneumatic is intrinsically connected with the automotive industry because compressed air touches almost every process in the auto industry, from engine construction to vehicle assembly, painting and cleaning. Modern-day vehicles are all about lightweighting and comprise a mix of lightweight metals, plastics and composites that are more durable and far lighter than vehicles of yesteryear. Pneumatic tools help create these auto parts and power the machines that lift, transport, position and fasten vehicle components.

Kirloskar Ferrous Industries is one of the fastest growing companies in the business of pig iron and iron castings. Its capabilities include producing highly customised products that include single-piece grey iron castings that weigh up to 300kg. It is a major supplier of engine castings to the some leading global automakers.

“We are transforming from a solid engineering-driven firm to a solution-led customer-centric one. We are becoming more agile and adaptive through innovation, business process and market competitiveness. This involves backward and forward integration as well as adoption of new technologies such as digitization, industry 4.0, 3D printing, artificial intelligence and so on,” said Atul Kirloskar, Executive Chairman of Kirloskar Oil Engines.

The Group has brought in experts to strengthen the business and ensure growth. This includes Mahesh Chhabria at Kirloskar Industries, Vimal Bhandari at Arka Fincap, Vinesh Jairath (real estate business) and K Srinivasan at Kirloskar Pneumatic. Kirloskar Ferrous Industries, Kirloskar Oil Engines,  Kirloskar Chillers will continue to be led by R V Gumaste, Sanjeev Nimkar and Avinash Manjul respectively.
