Premium Carnival MPV will be introduced in India as a completely built unit, will serve more as a brand-builder for Kia Motors in India. The volume-driver will be a new sub-4-metre SUV to be launched later in 2020.
Kia Motors India Leadership and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy officially inaugurate Kia Motors’ 300,000 units-per-annum Anantapur plant.
The Anantapur production facility, which has a production capacity of around 300,000 units each year, incorporates facilities for stamping, welding, painting and assembly.
The Anantapur plant is equipped with more than 450 robots, helping automate the press, body and paint shops, as well as the assembly line.
In addition to petrol and diesel variants of the Seltos, production of future electric and hybrid vehicles has been factored in when designing the Kia Motors India plant production lines.

Kia has confirmed plans to introduce the Carnival MPV in early 2020, followed by a new sub-4-metre SUV later in the year.
