Hyundai Motor India has announced that the Hyundai Venue, the carmaker’s first compact SUV, has crossed the 100,000 unit sales milestone in the domestic market.

According to the company, a total of 97,400 units have been sold in India since launch in May 2019, and over 7,400 units in export markets. As per Autocar Professional’s sales data, the Venue sold a total of 94,866 units from May 2019 till May 2020, which means 2,534 units have been sold in the first three weeks of June. Hyundai claims the Venue is the highest-selling sub-four-metre SUV in India in the January-May 2020 period with 24,400 units sold. Of the variants on offer, 44 percent of customers have chosen the Kappa 1.0 l T-GDi petrol engine and over 30 percent for the 1.5-litre U2 CRDi Diesel BS6 engine (March-June 2020). Furthermore, over 30,000 customers have opted for the Venue equipped with BlueLink connected technology.
