Honda sells 56,000 two-wheelers in a single day in India
Overall retail sales breached the 56,000 mark on the day, growing over 40 percent over last year's Ganesh Chaturthi retails.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has begun the festive season on a festive note. The company recorded a new high by crossing 50,000 unit sales in a single day (September 18), backed by auspicious buying on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and Vishwakarma Jayanti. Overall retail sales breached the 56,000 mark on the day, growing over 40 percent over last year's Ganesh Chaturthi retails.
HMSI says customer demand remained bullish as footfalls soared across all its outlets. Yadvinder S Guleria, senior vice-president (Sales & Marketing), HMSI, said: “The 40% increase in sales shows the high customer trust and confidence in brand Honda and has surpassed all our expectations.”
The company has launched an attractive retail finance scheme on the high-selling 125cc CB Shine motorcycle, which enables an Rs 7,300 additional saving. Through the festive special CB Shine scheme, customers can now purchase the motorcycle with a down payment of Rs 5,999 and EMIs of Rs 999.
