Two weeks after it launched the new CB300F, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has commenced all-India despatches of the all-new midsize motorcycle from its fourth factory at Vithalapur, in the Ahmedabad district of Gujarat.
On August 8, Honda has launched the CB300F in India, with prices starting at Rs 226,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The CB300F is available in two variants – Deluxe (Rs 226,000) and Deluxe Pro (Rs 229,000). It is Honda's new contender in the middleweight streetfighter segment and will be retailed via Honda's Big Wing chain of dealerships.
The rollout of the CB300F was celebrated at a special line-off ceremony in the presence of Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director, President & CEO (HMSI) along with Takahiro Honda, Chief Production Officer & Director (HMSI), Naveen Awal, Director, Production (HMSI), Manish Dua, Operating Officer (Vithalapur Plant), and Akira Toyama, Executive Vice-President (Vithalapur Plant).
The CB300F is manufactured on a special line designated for midsize motorcycles. This assembly line caters to both domestic and export demand while the main manufacturing lines continue to cater to scooter demand through the Activa (110cc & 125cc), Dio and Grazia models.
The Vithalapur plant, which commenced operatins in FY2015, has in December 2021 begun manufacturing of global engines. Powering its 250cc-and-above category two-wheelers, the dedicated engine line is set to serve demand from global markets like Thailand, US, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia, and Gulf nations among others.
