Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has expanded its commuter motorcycle stable with the new Livo.

The Livo is powered by a 110cc, 4-stroke engine that develops 9bhp and is claimed to deliver fuel efficiency of 74kpl enabled by the company’s patented Honda Eco Tech.

Speaking at the launch in New Delhi today, Keita Muramatsu, president and CEO, HMSI, said: “The Livo is the curtain raise of Honda’s aggressive pace of new and exciting motorcycle models’ line-up for India.”

YS Guleria, senior vice-president, HMSI, added: “The Livo has been developed keeping in mind the 100-100cc segment, which is most often the first bike for the majority of people in India. It features one of the longest wheelbases in the segment and and higher ground clearance for comfortable and practical usage.”

The new Livo is available in two variants — a self-start equipped, drum brake and alloy wheel version that costs Rs 52,989, and the version equipped with a disc brake that costs Rs 55,489 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
