HMSI opens 11th zonal office in Varanasi

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has opened its 11th zonal office in India at Varanasi, in Uttar Pradesh. As part of its market strategy of being closer to customers, it plans to set up new zonal offices in a phased manner across regions.

Each zonal office is equipped with an advanced state-of-the-art Honda Service Training Centre which helps continually train and upgrade the skills of service personnel at their network (dealer, sub-dealer and authorized service centres).

As a major contributor to Central India sales, HMSI says it chose Varanasi to drive its regional expansion. “Uttar Pradesh is a vital market for Honda and we look forward to reaching closer and serving our customers with new speed. Starting with Varanasi, Honda will continue to expand zonal offices to reach closer to customers and also to connect, communicate and create faster for Indian market in a planned manner,” said Keita Muramatsu, president and CEO, HMSI.

The two-wheeler industry in Uttar Pradesh is rapidly growing and contributes 15 percent to total two-wheeler sales in India. HMSI currently has 235 sales and service outlets in the state.
